Our lamp tradition

During the first week of our COHORT programme, Jane – a lighting artist and ADHD coach – works with each rangatahi to design their own unique lamp. In 2024, she also contributed to getting The Hyphen Project established. Every day, rangatahi turn their lamps on when they arrive and off when they leave, creating a personal ritual that lights up their time with us. At the end of the COHORT, they take their lamp home as a lasting keepsake of their journey.

Together, the lamps brighten our space with the individuality of every rangatahi.

Each switch-on is a small ritual, filling the room with personality and light.
